I am Faye Cheng, a graphic designer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The core value of my work is to create connections with each other in our environment. I want to be a social designer who is not in the position of 'helping' people, but to connect with them. To risk my own subjectivity, as Marina Garcés says: letting oneself be affected and entering on the scene. This is why my passion lies in conducting fieldwork research.

I love to research on and work with collected stories, personal aspirations and information. I usually translate these inputs into an analogue and figurative project. I enjoy the analogue methods, so I will not focus merely on the visual end results, but on the process and stories that lead to those end results.

I hope my work will spark conversations, creating awareness of ourselves in time and space.
